What you see is only the last layer. Before every behaviour, there is a nervous system at work — what your dog’s body is carrying right now: load, capacity, prediction and recovery. That is where we start. We don’t begin with labels like ‘dominant’ or ‘stubborn’; we look at what led to the behaviour. Then we work on one variable at a time, at your dog’s pace — so that learning actually lands, and stays with your dog for life.

What makes Shuki's approach different from other dog trainers?
Most training focuses on changing what the dog does. We focus on changing the conditions that create the behaviour in the first place. That starts with understanding the dog's internal state — specifically, whether the nervous system is in a state where learning is actually possible. A dog in survival mode cannot learn. Real change only happens when that changes first.
Shuki's understanding of behaviour comes from more than 35 years of working with dogs, combined with a deep interest in how fear, stress and learning affect the nervous system.
Do you assess the dog before starting a program?
Yes, always. Before any program begins, we assess the dog's triggers, environment, behavioural patterns and baseline state. This is how we determine the right approach - not by fitting the dog into a fixed method, but by building the process around what that specific dog needs.
How long does it take to see results?
It depends on the dog and the issue. Some changes happen quickly. Others require the nervous system to process and adapt over time, and that cannot be rushed. What we can tell you is that we don't work toward temporary results. We work toward stable change that holds in real life, not just in a training environment.
What types of issues do you work with?
We work with a wide range of behavioral challenges: from basic to more complex cases.
More complex cases are handled within the Special Training Program.
Do you work with all breeds and ages?
Yes. Behaviour is not determined by breed, it is determined by the system behind it. We work with dogs of all breeds and ages, from puppies to adult dogs with long-standing behavioural patterns.
What if my dog doesn't make progress?
We adjust the approach. If progress isn't happening, something in the setup needs to change, not the dog. In our experience, the question is never whether a dog can learn. It's whether the right conditions for learning have been created.
How involved do I need to be as an owner?
Very! The work we do with your dog during the program is only part of the process. What happens at home: how you interact with your dog, how you read their state, how you maintain the structure, is equally important. We guide you throughout so you can continue the process beyond the training environment.
What do I need to bring?
Regular food and any relevant medical or behavioural information. Everything else is provided.
Is there supervision overnight?
Yes. The facility is located directly next to Shuki's home, which allows for immediate response if needed during the night.
What happens in case of a medical emergency?
We take every dog's health seriously. In case of an emergency, we act immediately - we work with a local veterinarian and stay with the dog as long as needed. The owner is informed as soon as possible. Veterinary costs are the responsibility of the owner, as stated in our terms.
What are your reception hours?
