Important note:
If your dog struggles with anxiety, aggression, reactivity or unpredictable behaviour, a standard four-week program is often not enough.
Our Behavioural Rehabilitation Program focuses on stabilising the nervous system, building resilience and creating long-term behavioural change before progressing to advanced training. If you're unsure, we'll help you choose the most suitable program during your assessment.

Confirming control, solving new issues
Our Standard Programme includes four weeks of training with us, spread out so your dog's progress carries over into everyday life at home. Your dog first stays with us for two weeks to learn the basics. Then comes a week at home, where you practise the training together. Your dog returns for a third week, where we fine-tune the training based on how the home week went. Two months or more later, a final week confirms your dog is reliably under control and resolves any issues that have come up in the meantime.
Why Does This Approach Work?
Rather than only teaching commands, we focus on improving the dog's ability to regulate, learn and communicate.
Better behaviour develops when dogs understand their environment, experience clear structure and build healthy behavioural patterns.
Foundation Behaviour & Training Program
A structured training program for dogs that need guidance, not rehabilitation.

Our Foundation Behaviour & Training Program is designed for dogs that need structure, clearer communication and better everyday behaviour.
Whether your dog pulls on the lead, struggles to focus, jumps on visitors or simply needs consistency, this program builds the skills and habits that make daily life easier for both dogs and owners.
FAQ
What do I need to bring?
Regular food and any relevant medical or behavioural information. Everything else is provided.
What kind of issues does this program address?
This program is designed for dogs without complex behavioral patterns or high-intensity reactions, who need structure and clarity in daily behavior.
What actually happens during the 4 weeks?
Your dog lives with us in a structured, calm environment and is worked with daily. This is not a boarding stay where training happens on the side, the entire stay is designed around creating the right conditions for learning. Structure, routine, rest and gradual exposure are all part of the process.
Why 4 weeks and not a few sessions?
Because real change takes time. A nervous system doesn't reset in an hour. Four weeks of consistent structure, daily observation and gradual progression gives the dog's system what it needs to actually shift, not just perform differently in a training session.
Where does my dog stay during the program?
Your dog stays in Joey's House: a dedicated facility located a few metres from Shuki's home. This allows supervision throughout most of the day.
The facility includes underfloor heating, a ventilation system, and a calm, clean environment. Dogs stay in structured Trespa crates designed for the training process. Staff are present on-site between 07:00 and 20:00, and the facility is located next to Shuki's home for overnight response if needed.
Will I receive updates during the program?
Yes! Updates are shared primarily through the business Instagram page, where daily life and interactions are documented. Updates are not always individual, but they reflect the real environment and atmosphere, so you can actually see what your dog's day looks like.
What happens when my dog comes home?
You receive clear, practical guidance on how to maintain the progress. The work doesn't stop when the program ends - it continues at home.
In addition, all board & train clients have access to free follow-up training sessions at our location for the lifetime of the dog. We also run Pack Walks approximately every two weeks, group walks for dogs and owners who are still working on behaviour in real-life situations.
Is there supervision overnight?
Yes. The facility is located directly next to Shuki's home, which allows for immediate response if needed during the night.
What happens in case of a medical emergency?
We take every dog's health seriously. In case of an emergency, we act immediately - we work with a local veterinarian and stay with the dog as long as needed. The owner is informed as soon as possible. Veterinary costs are the responsibility of the owner, as stated in our terms.
What are your reception hours?
Reception hours (by appointment only):
Morning: 07:30 – 11:30
Afternoon: 15:30 – 19:30
All visits and drop-offs are by prior coordination only.
How do I get started?
Contact us to schedule an initial assessment. Based on that conversation and our evaluation of your dog, we'll guide you to the right program. There is no one-size-fits-all answer - every dog and every situation is different.

"Shuki is fantastic! We had him train our two dogs and they both came back transformed, exceeding all our expectations. The moment you start talking with Shuki you can see he deeply loves & cares for dogs, and wants the best for them, way beyond just doing his job. He was full of tips and advice beyond just training but about all aspects of our dogs' wellbeing. And equally importantly our dogs love him."
Simon Belak (Zuko & Kenzo)

"Our Italian Greyhound puppy Buster stayed with Shuki for two weeks of training. The difference when Buster came back home was huge! In two weeks, Buster has been bench trained (to the point where he can stay home alone for a few hours), he knows all the basic commands, and more. Shuki’s philosophy is really around ‘training’ the humans as well to make sure everything ‘sticks’ and is followed up on. He believes in personal attention and his house and big garden will host up to 5 dogs. Shuki will also be our go-to place whenever we are on holidays and we want Buster to be taken care of well. Highly recommended!"
Marco De Mooij (Buster)

"That was only 10 days, but very important for our dog and us! First of all, the service is more than fantastic. Our German Shepherd had the best days ever here. Second, Shuki had the best way to communicate with our dog. Just 10 days, but the behavior of the dog was absolutely changed! Calmer, easier, more communicative. We’ve also got dozens of recommendations from Shuki we’ve never had from before even veterinary - what to do, how to feed, what is better personally for our dog. To say that we are happy with Shuki’s service is say nothing. Best and highest recommendations! There is no other options for us anymore. Thank you Shuki!"
Julia Scherpner (Bern)

"Shuki is a wonderful person and took great care of our animals for 2 weeks while we were on vacation. He welcomes your dogs into his family and pack and treats them as if they were is own and in their own home. It was so treasuring to know the great care they were receiving while we were away. We will definitely use his services again.
It was worth the short drive to get the dogs out to his family home - and into the countryside."
Tom Pugh (Joe & Jerome)

"Thoroughly recommend Shuki’s dog services. Our 11 month old lab has come home happy and relaxed after a lot of fun staying at Shuki’s. He had a nice holiday in the country while we also had a break. Loved seeing videos of him playing while we were away. The pick up/drop off option is brilliant as well. Lockie will definitely be returning and a nice relaxing break for us knowing he is so well cared for."
Melissa Muirhead (Lockie)

"Shuki is a magician with training!
I enrolled Charlie (6 month cockapoo) in his 4 Week Boarding Training.
She has just finished her last session. She is amazing now!! All the basic commands, plus some special commands that I asked Shuki to train.
I now have full control of her with just my voice - no leash required.
Charlie looooves the training. She is totally focused on me now and always waiting to hear what I want her to do. Very happy puppy and owner 🙂"
Angus Prior (Charlie)

""Really really great place to leave your doggies when away! Our Tuna had so much fun with her new doggy friends and Shuki took amazing care of her! He even took time to housetrain her! I couldn’t recommend this place more! Will leave my dogs with him whenever in need."
