Puppy Training Program
For dogs up to 5 months of age

The first months of your puppy's life shape the dog they will become.
Our puppy program focuses on building confidence, emotional stability, healthy social skills and good habits from the very beginning — creating the foundation for a calm, balanced adult dog.
Why Start Early?
During the first months of life, your puppy's nervous system develops rapidly.
Early experiences influence confidence, resilience, recovery from stress and the ability to cope with the world.
Our program supports healthy nervous system development while teaching practical everyday skills — creating long-term behavioural success rather than simply teaching commands.
FAQ
What age is suitable to start?
Ideally from 10–12 weeks, when the puppy is ready to begin structured exposure and learning.
The goal is not simply to teach a puppy commands. The goal is to build confidence, stability and the ability to process the world without becoming overwhelmed.
How does the program work?
The puppy program is built on alternating weeks: one week with us, one week at home. This is intentional.
Time with us focuses on building the correct foundation: exposure, structure, stability and habits, in a calm, controlled environment.
Time at home focuses on implementation: how the behaviour actually shows up in daily life, where the gaps are, and how you as the owner can support the process.
This creates real alignment between training and real life, not just success in a training environment that doesn't carry over.
Why not keep the puppy with the trainer full time?
The goal is not a well-trained puppy at our location. The goal is a well-adjusted dog in your home. Your involvement is not a nice-to-have, it's essential to the process.
Are vaccinations required?
Yes, according to standard veterinary guidelines.
How is progress supported at home?
You receive clear, stage-appropriate guidance throughout the program. The focus is not just on what to do, but on how to read your puppy and understand when learning is actually happening. That skill will serve you for the lifetime of the dog.
What do I need to bring?
Regular food and any relevant medical or behavioural information. Everything else is provided.
What are your reception hours?
Reception hours (by appointment only):
Morning: 07:30 – 11:30
Afternoon: 15:30 – 19:30
All visits and drop-offs are by prior coordination only.
How do I get started?
Contact us to schedule an initial assessment. Based on that conversation and our evaluation of your dog, we'll guide you to the right program. There is no one-size-fits-all answer - every dog and every situation is different.

"Shuki is fantastic! We had him train our two dogs and they both came back transformed, exceeding all our expectations. The moment you start talking with Shuki you can see he deeply loves & cares for dogs, and wants the best for them, way beyond just doing his job. He was full of tips and advice beyond just training but about all aspects of our dogs' wellbeing. And equally importantly our dogs love him."
Simon Belak (Zuko & Kenzo)

"Our Italian Greyhound puppy Buster stayed with Shuki for two weeks of training. The difference when Buster came back home was huge! In two weeks, Buster has been bench trained (to the point where he can stay home alone for a few hours), he knows all the basic commands, and more. Shuki’s philosophy is really around ‘training’ the humans as well to make sure everything ‘sticks’ and is followed up on. He believes in personal attention and his house and big garden will host up to 5 dogs. Shuki will also be our go-to place whenever we are on holidays and we want Buster to be taken care of well. Highly recommended!"
Marco De Mooij (Buster)

"That was only 10 days, but very important for our dog and us! First of all, the service is more than fantastic. Our German Shepherd had the best days ever here. Second, Shuki had the best way to communicate with our dog. Just 10 days, but the behavior of the dog was absolutely changed! Calmer, easier, more communicative. We’ve also got dozens of recommendations from Shuki we’ve never had from before even veterinary - what to do, how to feed, what is better personally for our dog. To say that we are happy with Shuki’s service is say nothing. Best and highest recommendations! There is no other options for us anymore. Thank you Shuki!"
Julia Scherpner (Bern)

"Shuki is a wonderful person and took great care of our animals for 2 weeks while we were on vacation. He welcomes your dogs into his family and pack and treats them as if they were is own and in their own home. It was so treasuring to know the great care they were receiving while we were away. We will definitely use his services again.
It was worth the short drive to get the dogs out to his family home - and into the countryside."
Tom Pugh (Joe & Jerome)

"Thoroughly recommend Shuki’s dog services. Our 11 month old lab has come home happy and relaxed after a lot of fun staying at Shuki’s. He had a nice holiday in the country while we also had a break. Loved seeing videos of him playing while we were away. The pick up/drop off option is brilliant as well. Lockie will definitely be returning and a nice relaxing break for us knowing he is so well cared for."
Melissa Muirhead (Lockie)

"Shuki is a magician with training!
I enrolled Charlie (6 month cockapoo) in his 4 Week Boarding Training.
She has just finished her last session. She is amazing now!! All the basic commands, plus some special commands that I asked Shuki to train.
I now have full control of her with just my voice - no leash required.
Charlie looooves the training. She is totally focused on me now and always waiting to hear what I want her to do. Very happy puppy and owner 🙂"
Angus Prior (Charlie)

""Really really great place to leave your doggies when away! Our Tuna had so much fun with her new doggy friends and Shuki took amazing care of her! He even took time to housetrain her! I couldn’t recommend this place more! Will leave my dogs with him whenever in need."
